Year with Browser library has been busy, there is at least least 29 releases done since last RoboCon. This talks highlights the main features within those releases and how the community can best benefit from the new features.
t has been a busy year, since we presented the Browser library in RoboCon 2021 fist time to the Robot Framework community. In a year, from release 4.0 to 10.0, library has got many new interesting features and enhancements. We, Kerkko Pelttari, Mikko Korpela, René Rohner and Tatu Aalto, the library core developer will demonstrate what new features and enhancements the library has received since RoboCon 2021. We will demonstrate how recording selectors works, how to create and use trace files, how to use pabot with browser library and what benefits strict mode brings. Most of the features are demoed with live examples. Also we take look what user have saying about the library and what features we might do in the near future.
Tatu Aalto works at F-Secure as Senior Software Developer in Test with Windows anti-virus client team. He has +10 years experience with Robot Framework and more than 20 years experience in testing at general. Tatu maintains several libraries or tools in the Robot Framework ecosystem, example PyhtonLibCore and is one of the core team member in the Browser library.
René Rohner is a Senior Consultant for Testing Systems in Germany and Chairman of the board of Robot Framework Foundation.
He is member of the Core Team of Robot Framework Browser and author of Robot Framework DataDriver. He is trainer and coach for Keyword-Driven and Behavior-Driven Testing in multiple small and huge projects in Germany.
I'm a full stack application developer, who was introduced to Robot Framework through the Browser projects initial funded start at 2020 summer. Since then I have been maintaining it as part of the open-source team. In general I like exploring programming languages, libraries and concepts. As my day job I create and maintain. developer tooling at Robocorp.
