Gregor Schmid started development of the GUI automation tool
QF-Test over 20 years ago. He is co-founder of Quality First
Software GmbH, based in Germany and dedicated to further
development, distribution of and support for QF-Test.
When approached by DB Schenker he gladly took on the challenge of
creating an integration between QF-Test and Robot Framework. He
still has a lot to learn about Robot Framework but the
integration is coming along well and should become public early
2022.

I am a Full Stack tester. My professional journey began with testing Mainframe Applications, Data Warehousing & ETL processes, Business Intelligence reports and now API & UI Applications in Microservices architectures.
Test Automation to me is an extension of my Manual Testing exploits. It helps improve my efficiency and makes time for exploratory testing. I am a big fan of the Context Driven school of Testing and use that mindset at work (and in life).
When I am not working, I am doing or thinking about something adventurous.

Katri Saarikivi is a cognitive neuroscientist at the University of Helsinki. Her work examines the neural mechanisms involved in learning, collaboration, empathy and trust, and explores how these mechanisms could be better supported in online environments. Alongside research, she is enthusiastic about popularizing science, and especially about opening the scientific method to people outside academia.

Music Composer with a passion for technology (and a decent paycheck). I have been working for software development companies for 14 years. Automation has been my core focus for the last 8 years utilizing various scripting tools and languages for tests and other processes.
I am an avid sourdough break baker (even pre-pandemic), home brewer, and Raspberry Pi tinkerer. I am an active musician in my area playing Horn (French Horn) and British Tenor Horn. My happy place is writing and arranging music for the groups I play.
While not officially diagnosed, I am a gnome-a-holic and do not plan to go into any recovery program for the malady.
- Robot Framework Is Not ...

I'm a full stack application developer, who was introduced to Robot Framework through the Browser projects initial funded start at 2020 summer. Since then I have been maintaining it as part of the open-source team. In general I like exploring programming languages, libraries and concepts. As my day job I create and maintain. developer tooling at Robocorp.

From zero to (almost) hero :-).
I'm a Test Automation Engineer at DB Schenker Technology Center in Warsaw. I started my adventure with testing about 6 years ago as a manual tester of mobile applications. Since then I had the opportunity to learn and use different automation tools and frameworks, both backend and frontend, from SoapUI, Postman through Selenium and Protractor to Robot Framework (which I'm using right now). Currently I'm diving into the realm CI/CD and OS virtualization for testing purposes.
I'm an avid fan of all music, where the gain knob goes to 11 and I'm a semi-good guitar player. I'm also fond of animals, I've got 3 fish tanks, 2 dogs and 1 crab paludarium.
- Robot Framework and commercial testing tools integration - based on regression project for SWT app

I'm a Test Manager at DB Schenker and a regular Robot Framework User since 2020.
I like to help other people getting started with Robot Framework (and Test Automation in general) and I know that it can be overwhelming sometimes.
In my daily work, I support projects in the setup of their test automation solution - for Web Applications, Desktop Applications, APIs or even Document Tests.
I'm a believer in test automation - but convinced that testing itself cannot be automated.

I started to work as a test engineer doing mainly test automation in the year 2000. Since then I have created test automation tools and frameworks using Java, Perl, shell scripts and nowadays mainly Python. Over the years I have also used a wide range of commercial and open source test tools, and most of the time had much better success with the latter.
I graduated from Helsinki University of Technology in 2006, and wrote my Master's Thesis about large scale test automation frameworks. Especially the keyword-driven prototype that I created for the thesis was really successful, and I started working with a framework based on it in a customer project afterwards. In June 2008 this framework was open sourced as Robot Framework.
I learned about Agile software development for the first time in 2002 when studying software processes at the university. Unfortunately it took some years before I got into a real Agile project, but I have been lucky enough to avoid waterfalls since then. I have mostly experience from Scrum and since 2006 I have been able to call myself Certified ScrumMaster.
In addition to using open source tools, I have also followed many open source project closely and participated to them by submitting bug reports and answering questions on mailing lists. For Jython project I have contributed both bug reports and patches, and nowadays I am obviously highly involved with Robot Framework open source project.
Eliga Oy was founded on February 2007.
